Prologis joined the Osservatorio sull’Immobiliare Logistico (Logistics Real Estate Observatory, aka OSIL), which was created by the LIUC Business School’s researchers, directed by Professor Fabrizio Dallari, at the Centro sulla Supply Chain e Logistica (Supply Chain and Logistics Center). The aim of OSIL is to develop a model to objectively assess the quality, performance and functionality of warehouses. This classification is intended to become a benchmark reference tool for the sector.

Prologis is involved in the project along with other real estate specialists, including Engineering 2K, P3, Techbau, GSE and World Capital. The OSIL model will make it possible to ascertain the compatibility of a building for use in a specific function. Compatibility will be assessed on a scale of one to five stars.

The model will be available on the LIUC Business School website for use by the entire logistics real estate business community, namely real estate funds, developers, general contractors, as well as asset and facility managers.
