Three new buildings in Bologna

We recently started the development of three new, modern Class A buildings for advanced logistics at Bologna Interporto. The first of these - DC19 - is a 6,200 square metre built-to-suit facility for DB Schenker, an existing customer at the same logistics park. The second building - DC25 - is a 6,800 square metre facility that has been leased in full by Traser Srl, a logistics operator in the hospital sector, while the third - DC21 - a 10,200 square metre building - has been fully leased by Univergomma, a logistics company operating in the tyre business.

The three new buildings will have LEED Silver environmental certification. They are scheduled for completion in the second and third quarters of 2022, and will help meet the strong demand for modern facilities from a number of sectors.

The buildings will have an internal height of 12 metres, a load-bearing capacity of 5 tonnes per square metre, and will include warehouse and office space, service rooms, an electrical room, designated areas for HGVs, loading bays and plenty of parking for other vehicles. There will also be water collection basins and green areas with a large number of trees, and in line with Prologis’ environmental sustainability standards, the buildings will be powered by solar panel systems.

After completion of these three new facilities, Prologis will have 25 buildings at Bologna Interporto, serving a wide-range of customers operating in different sectors.

The rapid expansion of our offering in Bologna will boost our near-term capacity in a particularly strategic area for intermodal logistics.
