Prologis strengthens its presence in Rome with a new acquisition


Prologis has announced the acquisition of the entire share capital of Virgo Romana Immobiliare S.r.l., a company that owns an important logistics asset in the "La Rustica" area of Rome next to the Grande Raccordo Anulare ring road and strategically located near the city. The logistics park covers an area of approximately 50,600 square metres and consists of five buildings, an office building, outdoor areas (including an area containing archaeological remains), and parking areas. The logistics park is leased to the Italian Revenue Agency. On completion of the transaction, Virgo Romana Immobiliare S.r.l. was renamed Prologis Italy XLIV S.r.l.

Prologis was advised on the transaction by the law firm Linklaters with a team led by partner Francesco De Blasio and coordinated by managing associate Francesco Calabria, and by Deloitte for the tax and financial aspects.
