Our commitment to sustainability continues apace. As part of a framework agreement signed with E.ON Energia, a leading Italian energy firm operating in the sale of energy solutions and the generation of electricity from renewable sources, we recently installed our first electric vehicle charging column at Prologis Park Paullo. The new charging column enables two vehicles to be charged at the same time, and can be monitored remotely via the E.ON DriveSmart platform, for the maximum convenience of the end user.
More installations will be added during the year at Prologis buildings and logistics parks in Italy, as we implement our strategy of achieving full sustainability for our sites. This strategy also includes improving the energy efficiency of the lighting set-ups at our buildings and logistics parks, by installing next generation LED systems that provide more light, and are therefore safer, as well as producing much lower emissions. To date, we have completed the conversion to LEDs at 13 buildings, with total annual energy savings of 2.5 GWh.
We have also launched a major sustainability initiative called SolarSmart, which involves the installation of photovoltaic panels at all our buildings.
Our commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment are values we share with E.ON and our customers. Moreover, customers are increasingly focused on sustainability and looking for ways to reduce their emissions and contribute to their ESG objectives.
