Prologis Park Romentino has reached further milestones in hospitality and sustainability, thanks to the PARKlife™ philosophy. The aim was to create a welcoming environment with amenities for everyone who works at or visits the park.

A second leisure area opened recently, featuring environmentally friendly street furniture. These unique installations, created by our partner FERCAM Echo Labs, were created by reusing waste materials from logistics processes, such as pallets, truck tarpaulins and sandpaper. As a demonstration of Prologis' commitment to the circular and social economy, these materials were used to make picnic tables, seats and flower beds.

In addition to transforming waste into resources, FERCAM Echo Labs worked with social cooperatives to create the pieces. This project is an excellent example of how companies can make a positive contribution to the community and the environment in terms of the circular economy.

The park also has areas for socialising and sharing experiences. The new leisure areas follow other initiatives, such as the urban artworks painted by six internationally renowned Italian artists on the façades of the park's buildings, as well as the food truck added in 2022, which recently served over 700 meals at a special event held at the park.

The partnership with FERCAM began in Rome in 2021 and continues to grow at Romentino, reflecting the shared values at the heart of the PARKlife™ philosophy.

Sandro Innocenti, Senior Vice President and Country Manager of Prologis Italia, expressed his appreciation for the FERCAM Echo Labs team and the results achieved, hailing a success measured not just in the economic impact but through the positive effects on people and the environment, in line with Prologis' ESG goals.
