Expansion works at Prologis Park Lodi have now been completed, following the construction of the new DC8 building. The 62,000 square metre Class A facility has already been fully leased to a major healthcare and pharmaceutical logistics company and to Ashel Group, which operates in industrial and retail logistics. Both operators are existing customers, at Green Thermo Park Vercesi and the Romentino logistics park.
The facility was designed in line with requests made by the users, with around 60,000 square metres given over to warehouse space, while the building's three sections each have their own entrance. The logistics platform has a beam height of 12 metres, 74 loading bays, a load-bearing capacity of 5,000 kg per square metre and is equipped with an NFPA fire protection system.
In terms of sustainability, the building has a 1.4 MWp photovoltaic system and LEED® Gold certification. Furthermore, to meet the specific needs of pharma logistics, it includes three temperature-controlled areas (15-25°C, 4-8°C and -20°C).
Outside the building, ample parking has been provided for cars (236 internal and 242 external spaces) and trucks (31 internal and 19 external spaces), along with 16 charging stations for electric vehicles. The extensive green areas around the building have been planted with trees and shrubs.
Prologis Park Lodi now has 8 buildings offering a total surface area of 290,000 square metres. It is positioned in a highly strategic location around 30km south of Milan, near the A1, A21 and A4 motorway exits and close to the Casalpusterlengo ring road (currently under construction).
This new development completes the space available at Prologis Park Lodi, which was also the pilot site for the ground-breaking PARKlife™ concept in Italy.
