Completed in just nine months, the Prologis Park Bologna Interporto is the first fully digitised facility built by Prologis in Italy using Building Information Modelling (BIM) during the design stage. This made it possible to equip the building with sensors and a data flow interface for real time, remote management of all the maintenance and energy systems, including lighting.
The new Class A logistics platform extends over approximately 40,500 square metres and contains storage warehouses, logistics areas, controlled temperature zones and two office units covering 1,000 square metres. In addition, the DC 15 building, which has been awarded a “very good” BREEAM rating for environmental performance, has 120 parking spaces for staff, green spaces and areas for other vehicles to park and manoeuvre.
